Spanish publisher LemonQuest has announced that it’s releasing a new mobile game based on Scalextric.
The game is released as part of a licensing deal with Spanish firm Tecnitoys, not Hornby. The game will be called SCX in some countries, and Scalextric in others.

The game looks great!! Up to six players will be able to race against each other. Details to whether that will be on one handset, via Bluetooth or even over the network have yet to be announced.

The game will allow you to modify your cars setup by tweaking your brake tension and fuel load. you will also be able to alter your pit-stop strategy and be able to build your own tracks with the game’s built-in track editor.

Fingers crossed that the game gets a UK release!

Scalextric is available as a mobile phone game. The game benefits from the same simple one button controls as your original Scalextric and features five car models racing on different tracks set in classic Scalextric locations the bedroom, garage, living room and workshop. Unlock extra tracks as you progress.Play in three different race modes: Championship, Quick Race and Ghost Race where you compete against your previous fastest lap or play against your friends to see who can record the fastest overall time. Build your own unique track using the revolutionary track editor feature and upgrade your car, as you race your way to the top.
